Which bank tops the complaints table?
The FSA have released their half year figures for complaints against financial institutions.
Barclays come out top. In just six month they attracted 205151 new complaints – that’s
That about one complaint every one and a half minutes they are open!
Santander didn’t do a lot better with 165052 complaints but at least they managed to end the period with over 55,000 less open cases. Barclays on the other hand managed to add about 18,000 to their overall complaints tally.
It’s not really fair but it’s nice to point out we have never ever had a single person go to the FSA to complain about us.

Another comparison – the person overseeing the activity that generated all these complaints at Barclays was Bob Diamond – he has earned over £6.5 million last year - that’s nearly £300 per complaint.
