Years ago Friends Provident undertook a survey that showed that something like 7 out of 10 people would invest ethically if they could and 3 out of 10 knew that they could.
When I read this article I realised how much further we have to go before the majority of people do know about ethical investment.
The recent National Ethical Investment Week certainly raised awareness – we had over 60 people at Friends House for our event, but the old myths still carry on, the level of ignorance is still high.
So please pass this on – tell everyone they don’t have to support the Arms trade, they don’t have to put their money where their ethics would object – they can make money and make a difference!!
