Our Principles
Our Statement of Principles
Our business is led by our principles and exists to provide long term, financial advice that is both technically correct and ethically based.
The hallmark of our practice is our commitment to the whole person of our client. Our attention will always be to their financial requirements as they pertain to their physical and emotional situation as well as their ethical beliefs.
Our service is designed for people who want to build a sustainable relationship with trusted, skilled financial professionals who have a long term broad-based knowledge of their client’s situation.
The following beliefs guide our working practice:
- We believe that we are responsible for the vast majority of what happens to us as individuals or as an organisation.
- We believe that we need a written set of principles if we are to manage our business effectively*
- We believe that we must live these principles no matter what. We also believe that they will run through all aspects of our business life.
- We believe that it is better to understand the other person before we seek to be understood.
- We believe that we need to come to meetings prepared to be open to new ideas and to be willing to surrender our preconceived thinking.
- We believe we will work better if we regularly give attention to our physical, spiritual and emotional health.
*Our Principles
- Our business will operate in a simple but functional office without unnecessary consumer durables.
- We will seek to tell the facts simply.
- We will not discriminate against people because of race, gender, disability, sexual-orientation, age or bank balance.
- We will always give accurate, honest and complete information to our clients and each other to the best of our ability.
- We believe that competition can bring rewards as well as difficulties. We will not compete in such a way that may knowingly cause distress in others.
"These principles are not just an empty mission statement but run deep into the fabric of our firm."
